Our Story
Outreach and Engagement
The Ethnic Policing Forum is committed to the highest standards of transparency, accountability, and community trust. Our work is guided by strong governance structures that ensure all activities are conducted with integrity and in the best interest of the communities we serve.
Operating within the Northern Inner City of Dublin, the Forum works in close collaboration with the Store Street Garda Division, providing a framework for statutory oversight and constructive engagement between community members and law enforcement. This relationship supports open dialogue, strengthens accountability, and ensures that community concerns are addressed through appropriate and recognized channels.
Our governance approach is rooted in inclusivity and evidence-based practice. We actively engage with residents, community groups, and stakeholders to inform our initiatives, while also applying research, monitoring, and evaluation to measure impact and continuously improve our work.
Through this structured and transparent approach, the Ethnic Policing Forum remains a trusted platform for fostering mutual understanding, strengthening relationships, and supporting safer, more inclusive communities.
What we do
The ethnic forum main goal is organizing forums and events that bring residents and Gardai together, while facilitating discussions on community concerns.
This is done through assisting minority ethnic and disadvantaged groups. We provide guidance to help communities engage in civic life by supporting participation in community policing initiatives.
We go a step further by organizing workshops on conflict resolutions and trust building activities within the community. Training is offered to different groups that is leaders, volunteers and residents. These training will ensure community safety and create awareness on the challenges that exists within the community and how to overcome them.
